Questions
1. Where in the world is the biome located (try and find an image that you can can copy and paste into your page)?

2. What is the climate like (what is the temperature and the weather)?

3. What different types of plants exist in this biome?

4. What different types of animals exist in this biome?

5. How is this biome threatened by humans?

6. Give an example of a specific ecosystem that would be classified as this biome (i.e. Lake Ontario is specific ecosystem that is an example of a freshwater biome)

Location
1. My biome can be found in Some deserts like North America namely the Sonoran, Chihuahua, Mojave, and the Great Basin. Some of the other deserts can be found at other countries like Australia deserts, which can be found in Great Victoria and the Great Sandy. South America has deserts in Patagonia and Argentina. Deserts can alsocover large areas in Africa like the Sahara that is the largest desert in the world.

Climate
2. The maximum amount of heat in the desert climate can go up to 43.5-49° C. and can drop down to -18° C. When the temperature of the desert gets really hot the sand starts to heat up so when it rains in the desert the rain drops don't reach the sand of the desert because before it hits the sand it evaporates.

Plants
3. There are a lot of plants in the deserts like Barrel Cactus, Brittle Bush, Chainfruit Cholla, Creosote Bush, Crimson Hedgehog Cactus, Desert Ironwood, Joshua Tree, Jumping Cholla, Mojave Aster, Ocotillo, Palo Verde, Pancake Prickly Pear Cactus, Saguaro Cactus, Soaptree Yucca, Triangle-leaf Bursage.

Threatened By Humans
5. The desert biomes around the world are threatened very badly because of people chopping down trees and the releases of CO2 is effecting global warming that is causing a lot of rivers to dry up and are making deserts to be formed.

Ecosystem
6. An example of a specific ecosystem is the Great Basin which is 492,000 sq km and is located in North America. Another example of a specific ecosystem is the Sonoran desert which is 310,800 sq km and is located in North America as well.
